San Diego Trip

Last weekend we took a trip up to San Diego. We had a wonderful time...Sunday we met up with Kevin and Arwen and watched the Chargers game (ugh) Despite the HORRIBLE game, we had a wonderful time with them. Monday morning the rain and wind started coming in and it got cold....fast! We still managed to get to the beach and build a sand castle (Drew's request) and feed the ducks at our hotel. It didn't get too bad until our trip home and we had a good time and enjoyed a little bit of actual "winter" weather!

Addie loving the Gabba toy from Arwen...

Drew found his reflection in the spoon! Entertained him for several minutes!!!

The COLD beach!!!
Feeding the ducks at the hotel!!!

They love eachother :)

Discovering the window and hanging out on the patio!!!

We made it to the beach!

The sand castle!!!

Smelling the flowers!

Climbing the tree at the park til it got really cold and windy and we had to leave

Park Day!

Being that we have been having a nice 75 degree WINTER...we decided to take the kids to the park last week. Addie was the happiest I've ever seen her outside, especially considering there was a little bit of wind....

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Wow! What a crazy couple of weeks this has been!! Christmas has come and gone and so has New Years....the decorations are coming down (slowly) and like Drew told me yesterday, "It's not sad, because we had a great Christmas. But now Christmas is over." We DID have a wonderful Christmas this year. Of course, it started back at Thanksgiving when we celebrated with my family and lasted all the way through New Years Eve when we celebrated once again with Matt's sister and her family who are visiting from Texas. Good Times! Our actual Christmas was pretty low key. On the 23rd we started our Christmas celebrations at my aunt and uncle's house where my cousin, and his new wife, were able to visit from San Diego. It was great to finally get to meet her. Welcome to the family Arwen!

We spent Christmas Eve at my parents house and had a lovely dinner with them and Uncle Dan and Aunt Ursula...then opened presents. Drew fell asleep at the table and we had to wake him up to open presents. He eventually got his second wind and both kids got tons of fun stuff....including a wagon!!!

The next morning we all met at our house because that is where Santa decided to stop this year. The kids must have been pretty good because they got everything they asked for and even stuff they didn't! The living room was filled with a new kitchen, an easel, a couple trains, and.....a new kitty! Which Drew has decided to name Lauper...no idea where that came from!!!!

Christmas didn't end there...I'll post pics from our 5th and last Christmas celebration later! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday!
