Well, we had a little bit of a scare yesterday, but everything has turned out to be okay for the time being. At about 4:45 we got the results from the blood tests that Addison had taken in the morning. The Dr. told us he needed to admit her to the hospital for Phototherapy within the hour. Her level (which causes the jaundice) was at 24.6 (with 0-1 being normal) . So we were off to the hospital where they put her under this light with only her diaper and funny looking glasses on. At about 10:00 p.m. they drew blood and tested her levels as well as her antibody level for Coombs Disease. At that time, her level was down to 16.7 (still pretty high) but luckily the antibody test came back negative. This morning they drew her blood once again and she was down to 10.7. The Dr. and the nurse both said they have never seen level drop that quickly. At any rate, we got to take her home about 10 a.m. and will continue to monitor her feeding closly and keep "sun therapy" going until Monday. Things look to be moving in the right direction though.
The nurses luckily let Drew come to the hospital last night and spend the night, so we didn't have to be away from him another night. He's just beginning to adjust a little to the changes and I really didn't want to just leave him for another night.
Here are some pictures of Addison's Phototherapy. She was pretty agitated most of the night, but managed to get a little bit of rest!

After they took her blood this morning, they let us hold her for about 10 minutes. Here is Drew starting to bond with his sister.
