After Thanksgiving, we quickly turned things around to get ready for an early Christmas celebration with my side of the family since they will not be with us for Christmas. So the lights were hung.....
....the tree was put up and decorated. Drew LOVED decorating the tree this year. The bottom half is mostly his work and gets moved around all of the time. New things are added everyday as well and we even managed to find a Thomas ornament, so he is loving it! Addie isn't quite as helpful in the decorating process as Drew was, but so far she has managed to be somewhat successful in fighting her urges to mess with the tree. It's stayed standing for 2 weeks, which is more than I had originally hoped for :)
Finally we hung the stockings and were ready to begin the season!!!
Terri and Denny came with an amazing amount of presents for the kids. They had a ton of fun opening them and have enjoyed playing with them since....
Here is Drew in his new "Superkid" cape....too cute!!
Addie LOVES her Yo Gabba Gabba guitar....of course....here she is teaching Sluggo the songs!
Still playing the guitar!
Drew and Aunt Terri....he was SO excited their visit and I think kept them quite entertained while they were here!
Drew showing off his new Texas cowboy boots! Too cute!
Addie got a new puppy for Christmas :)
Perhaps Drew's favorite present....a BOBBLEHEAD! Go figure :)
"Christmas" Dinner with cousin Billy....
During Thanksgiving week, Uncle Denny also hosted a sleepover for Drew and his cousin, Billy. It was a "Boys Only" Sleepover....No Grills (as Drew calls them) Allowed! It was a night packed full of trains, Lincoln Logs and movies....from what I hear anyway since I wasn't invited!
And what would a trip be without a visit to Chuckee Cheese....Drew's new obsession! He'd spend every waking minute there if he could. We did figure out tho, if you are going to go, 9am is a great time....we had the entire place to ourselves and actually ALL had a very good time!
Addie is still doing great and keeping up with her eating. She is becoming such a little toddler complete with the attitude. Hard for me to grasp sometimes since she's still SO little, but it's there. She loves to play trains and pick on her brother!!! She is obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba and Kai Lan....she tries hard to talk and tries to sing all the time. She loves to hum along with her Gabba guitar and last night she was "singing" jingle bells! She's getting stronger physically all the time....still not crawling but she has just started sitting on her hands and knees seeming to attempt to crawl. I'm not convinced she's not just being stubborn :) She has a history of that kind of behavior!!!
As you can see we've been keeping busy! I have plenty more pictures to upload and I hear Santa may be coming tonight :) Thanksgiving was exhausting....
Time to get ready for Christmas!!!!! Happy Holidays everyone!
