Random December!

I have to skip back a month and review December.  It was quite the month full of fun, trips, and celebration.  We began the month with a trip to New York City.... no kids!  Christmas in NYC was definitely on my bucket list, so off we went.  It was everything I had imagined!  Beautiful decorations, bright lights, crazy drivers, packed streets full of people and lots of coffee!!  I was even able to pull out my winter coats and scarfs.  We packed a ton into our 3 1/2 day trip.  Rockefeller Christmas tree, Today Show, skating in Central Park, the Rockettes, Mary Poppins and Macy's topped the list!

Later in the month we headed aboard the Polar Express to the North Pole.  With the freezing temps, there was no question that we had left Arizona for sure :)  We were greeted by a light sprinkle of snow which soon painted the entire town!  It was magical....and COLD!  We rode the train, had cookies and hot chocolate, sang Christmas carols, met Santa, took tons of pictures and made great memories.  The next day we even found time for some sledding.  Pretty exciting for us Yuma folks!! :)

When we returned from the Polar Express we were all ready to celebrate Christmas.  We had a long celebration with friends, family, food and fun!  It was the most amazing Christmas by far.  Drew was so into everything and truly "Believes" in every part of the holiday.  I hope I am able to bottle that up and save it for next year, because it made everything so special.  Addie was amazing this year as well.  She loved it all from decorating the cookies to opening the presents (only wrapped presents though, she wasn't into just pulling things out of a bag....after all where's the fun in that?!)

The year ended with so many fun times and I am so thankful for each and everyone of them!  Now moving onto 2013 once and for all!! :)
