When we left Texas, we headed for Cloud 9 Ranch in Missouri to catch up with Matt's family. We had a lot of fun, but failed to take many pictures!! We rented a pontoon boat on the lake and Matt and I tubed for the first time in years. The next day we floated tubes down the river there. Here are some pictures from our trip:

A Road Trip

We recently took a road trip to the Midwest. Our first stop to the Texas area to see Aunt Terri and Uncle Denny. We started off in San Antonio where we took a boat ride on the River Walk and , of course, saw the Alamo. We then went back to Terri and Denny's to enjoy some relaxing by the pool.
Of course I LOVE pictures, so we took a ton! Here are a few from our trip:

Drew loved his new set of legos and riding in the truck they came in

Drew with Aunt Terri...they came to be quite good friends!

Drew loved chasing Putty, the cat, around. He never quite got her, but got much closer as the week progressed. She was still always one step ahead. It's amazing, she's the only one I know who is constantly one step ahead of him! :)

Matt and Drew "hanging out" by the pool.

Drew bonding with Uncle Denny.

We went to the pond to feed the ducks. There were a ton of them, so I kept my distance with the camera. It's just something about those beaks!!!!!

We left their house and headed to a Wild Animal Park outside of Fort Worth. When I found those beaks a little intimidating, I had no idea what I was in store for next! The place we went was really neat and Matt REALLY enjoyed it. We stayed in a tent camp and actually drove around feeding wild animals. Some people have no fear, it's amazing!

Here's Drew experiencing the animals at the other side of the car. Yes, my window is shut!!

Here we are at the restaurant we hit at the top of the trail. We were safely away from the animals... I think!!!!

The animals actually put their heads in the window and you give them food. Here is Terri feeding a zebra. It really is amazing and I loved watching everyone stick their hands in the mouths of wild animals!!

This deer, we named it 550 because that was the number in it's ear, was relentless. It fell in love with our car and was with us almost every step of the way. I think Matt kinda wanted to take it home!

Here is a giraffe we saw on our trip. They weren't all that into us, but Matt did get to feed one.

Okay.... as not to be criticized for my apparent lack of adventure, I gave in. I fed a zebra. There were signs all over that said "Zebras bite", but I did it! And here's the proof!!

Here's Drew acting silly at dinner that night:

A kinda funny thing happened the next morning. We were driving out of the park and 3 Giselles were in the road. The came after our truck (which is my dad's, so we were being very cautious) and we backed up the winding road to where our camp was and Terri and Denny were getting ready to leave. We let them go ahead of us, and Terri reached out and pet the "charging" giselles. Matt and I had a good laugh!!!!

We had a GREAT time!!!!!

Drew... 9 months and counting!!!!!

Can you believe he's already 9 months old? We sure can't! He's growing so much everyday and is such a trip! He is just beginning to stand up on his own for a few seconds at a time! It's crazy! Here are a few pictures of him!

LOOK AT THOSE TEETH!!!!

He REALLY wants to feed himself, but hasn't quite mastered it! Here's his attempt at Spaghetti!

A Trip to San Diego

We decided to escape the 115 weather here and headed to San Diego for the day. The weather was BEAUTIFUL as always and we had a good time. We took Drew to the beach. He's been there a couple of times before, but he's finally getting to the point where he can enjoy it more. He played in the sand and touched his feet in the water.

After the beach, we wanted to do something a little different, so we took a boat out on the San Diego Bay. Of course, I grew up doing this kind of thing with our sailboat, but Matt had a blast. He can't stop talking about boats!

Anyway, here are some pictures of our trip.

Pool Time

My parents finally got their pool done, so we were able to do some swimming this weekend. Here are some pictures of Drew exploring the water. He seemed to really like it. Everytime he's somewhere new, hes in shock and takes about an hour to have any reactions. It is so amazing to me how new everything is to them. We got this little float for him, which he thinks is pretty cool, so he can ride around the pool like he owns it!

When we got home....he crashed!

Little River Rat

On Saturday we went out to the River with some friends. We all had a blast, especially Drew. He liked the water, but he absolutely loved playing in the mud. It was a warm day, but the water was perfect. We spent about 6 hours out there and Drew was a good sport the whole time. I swear this child has done more in his first 8 months of life then most children ever do! Of course he won't remember it, but he has fun in the moment.
