Halloween Madness!!!!!!

Okay, so I need to preface by saying that Halloween is NOT my favorite holiday!!! In fact, I REALLY don't like Halloween. I think the kids look cute all dressed up and they have fun, so I participate, but as hard as I try, it just isn't my thing! That being said, we did the whole Halloween-Trick-or-Treating-Pumpkin-Patch thing this year. Drew was Buzz Lightyear, or course, and also has his costumes planned for the next 5-6 years (next is Spiderman, then Woody, GIJOE, and Bat BUZZ :) We'll see if that changes at all throughout the years! Addie was Minnie Mouse and just gorgeous :) Like most things with crowds of people, she hated the whole Trick-or-Treating thing. Can't say I blame her on that one....streets jam packed with tons of people dressed funny and acting crazy... skeletons, witches and sound effects as you approach someone's door....I feel her anxiety on that one!!!

Okay, so to kick of the Halloween festivities, we carved the pumpkins we had picked out at the pumpkin patch. Thanks to NickJr, Drew decided he wanted a Wubzy pumpkin. I said "NO Way!!" but Matt agreed to do it. We printed out the template and 3 hours later we had a super cute Wubzy pumpkin.... and then there was Addie's. She LOVES DOra, so we (Matt) did a Dora pumpkin for her... over 5 hours of carving and they were super cute, for about a day :)

First step was to take the "goop" out of the pumpkin. Drew was all excited for about 5 minutes then he got tired of it, his hands were dirty, etc....etc...etc... Addie never gave it a second thought. She turned her back and banged the spoon on the cement!

Our SECOND trip to the Pumpkin Patch. Matt had a friend who was in town and wanted to go, so off we went. Between Addie's LACK of nap and the fact that it was chilly, we didn't last long. The favorite part was a box of beans for the kids to play in!
