Shots....Ice Cream and a Toy!

Well....I'm not sure if I'm surprised or not, but Drew handled his appointment yesterday like a CHAMP!!! Must only be me that he gets whiney and stubborn with :) The appointment lasted over and hour and he was great the entire time....and once again got a clean bill of health :) Well besides the fact that he's underweight, go figure, everything is good.

Before the appointment I was trying to tell him that shots don't really hurt too bad and he responded with, "Are you kidding me? They DO hurt and I think I'm going to need ice cream and a toy afterwards." Haha....he then proceeded to tell me, in detail, about the last 2 times he had shots...all down to the type of bandaid he received afterwards! Guess there is no sense trying to fool him...yikes!



Yesterday Drew ended up with 5 shots....and the last one was a BIG one!!! His poor little eyes filled with tears, but he held them back until the very last one and it HURT!!!





He left the doctors office with with 3 stickers, 2 books and a sucker! That's like heaven for a 4 year old! BUT he still wanted his ice cream and toy.... so we headed off to Coldstone for some mint ice cream with sprinkles, Oreos and peanut butter cups! And, yes, it tasted as awful as it sounds, but he loved it, so I guess that's what matters!
